Astro Brain Tumour Fund’s Eighteenth Norfolk Family Walk took place at Holkham Hall, North Norfolk on Sunday 22nd September.

The weather was mild and the rain stayed off until late afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to dampen spirits! Around 200 adults, children and dogs walked one, three, six or ten miles – some walked a combination, some just walked, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and watching the deer. The ten miler took them through Wells next the Sea once more, an opportunity to enjoy their famous fish & chips and liquid refreshment of their choice.

It was lovely to see so many walkers who return every year to meet up with family and friends, supporting loved ones with brain tumours or remembering those who have sadly passed away from this awful disease. Most importantly, brain tumour patients walking with their loved ones – the youngest Albie, just three years old, who was there with a huge party of family and friends, with his mum Bryony and Gt Aunt Sophie raising nearly £2,000 between them.  Other walkers were also generously sponsored or made donations.

There is always a happy, uplifting atmosphere at the walk and this year was no exception.

Adrian Flux Insurance Services once again sponsored the expenses for the walk and Holkham Hall allowed us to use the grounds free of charge.

NOTE: The 2025 Norfolk Famil;y Walk is scheduled to take place on Sunday 21st September.
